 How feminine and elegant some of these are. Then there are the sweet rose buds. All have been spruced up so that they can be used for labels, cards, scrap booking frames. Business cards? Now that is a good idea! Can't believe I didn't think of that sooner.

Amazing Little girls from antique French postcards. The best photographs some tinted

What does someone do with a huge batch of antique french postcard? The only thing possible is to share them with all of you! 

This first group are of the most beautiful and adorable little girls. Some of their clothes are just incredible with lots of lace and eyelet. Some of my favorite things!  The use of the images are free for your use. Please mention bumble button if you do. That way other artists can find their way here. Hi everyone!! So glad you have stopped by for a visit.

 After finding so many great images I am anxious to share them with you all.

What should be the theme for this post... hmm.

Ballet dancers! All the pictures are from antique postcards. A few are pre 1900.

Just love the red dress.

I just do not think of a ballerina smoking! Then I remembered one time at the airport, a group of incredible looking men waiting outside the terminal. It turned out they were ballet dancers from Russia and they were all smoking. After such a long flight they probably needed a cigarette!  It was a real treat seeing and talking to them.

I really like this post for some reason and hope you do too. Have fun using them in your projects.

Romantic French and English Paintings of women of the late 1700's Ladies of the 18th century from antique postcards and prints

 Romantic portraits of 18th century ladies. Elegant and well dressed they are most certainly women of leisure in the late 1700's.  These lovely paintings are from antique postcards and prints. If they are paintings of real individuals or just the artist imagination I can not say. The large powdered hair arrangements seem very French and maybe contemporaries of Marie Antoinette. The top two are my favorites.

By the Sea..A Regal Royal Queen Mother and Baby and more. Free clip art

Hi everyone. So many of my favorite images and pictures are tied to the ocean. There is something about the salty air and pattern of the sound of the waves make that replenish my being. . My grandmother lived a mile from butterfly beach near Monticieto. She always had beach towels in the car "in case".  As a little girls we would go down the steep road between some houses and onto the sand.After getting sand in every crevice and our cheeks and nose a little sunburned we would head home. Then lower bathroom was where we washed off the saltiness. The bath tub would be left with a ribbon of sand running into the drain. I just loved taking those baths. The bathroom was a soft blue with white eyelet curtains and lovely grandmotherly nic nacks tastefully arranged on the white tile. It seemed the sun was always streaming through the mottled glass window. To top off the crisps clean sunny memory my grandparents had a turquoise station wagon with white leather upholstery.( I wonder what kind of car it was). With my family we vacationed on Balboa Island and went to Santa Monica. As a teenager a drive through the canyon to Leo Carrillo and the Malibu was great fun. Then lived in Morro Bay for college. So many happy times by the ocean.

Isn't she the cutest little thing. Another children's illustration that says all is well with the world.

How this mother adores her new baby! So many portraits of this time do not convey so much emotion.

Roses and sweet little ladies. This seems to be what I am drawn to this week.

This is one of my favorites! Cute little angel.

As I am sipping my orange juice in California, came across this one so it just had to be posted. remember driving through grove after grove of orange trees when I was a little girl.

Bicycle riding cats. What can I say! Just sorta silly and cute. Early 1900's postcard.

I have also been into the frame/label mood. The leaf and grape border is from the turn of the century.

Everyday checking my blogs "stats" is addicting and rewarding. It is hard to imagine how bumble button has continued to grow. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that a blog would be a way to share all my stuff with the world. And world it really is!
