Fall Leaves and Sunlight, Pictures for today From Victorian Children's Books

The days slip by... October was a very posting kinda month and November not so much. There seems to be other projects that come up and off I go into sorting buttons, reading, sewing and a little gardening.   Keeping in touch with my sisters and mom is always a treat. We talk till my phone's battery gives out. The phone is dead but I am enriched and feel connected with my family.
This afternoon is a beautiful and sunny one. The leaves on the walnut trees are turning a rich yellow green. The Japanese Maple in front is a burgundy red. Like crisp apples. Next to the evergreens it all looks so very fall. Laying in the sunlight with my kitties watching the sun go down. It is very pretty through the colorful leaves. I feel at peace.
Today there is no set theme. Just a few pictures that felt good to me. Enjoy, Louise

Antique Botanical Book plates Late 1800's Victorian Era

I am so glad you have found my blog and hope you continue to visit.
Welcome back to all my followers.
When I came across these I knew what to post today. Botanical prints are one of my favorite things. We all need some spring in the fall. The days are getting shorter and colder! Antique book plates circa. 1875 are instant art to decorate with. They all click to a larger size. The colors are so pretty and soft. The printer used the same simple palette so they work well together. The last one may just find it's way into a frame at my house.
While checking out some of your blogs I was thrilled to see my images. Stamped on fabric and made into pillows, on paper gift bags and lots of cards and tags! Be sure and share your creations with me. And of course be sure you mention Bumble Button as your image source. Free images for your personal use with no advertising.Your comments and visits/pageviews are my inspiration and motivation.
Much love to you all, Louise

Hi everyone. Welcome to Bumble Button. Today I have pages from a Victorian book. This book, from 1881, has the best title. I can relate except I'm not so little! The verse is odd but the illustrations are charming. Not much to say today so enjoy the pictures. Love Louise

A new group of beautiful late 1800's book plates. Black and white to decorate and create with. Free clip art

Good morning to you all! We have rain and more on the way. Not sure if I am ready for cloudy skies and cooler temperatures
I love those super soft fluffy socks and wear them all the time when it is cold. This afternoon out came a pair to keep my toe's all cozy. Do you have dollar stores near you.? Everything is $1.00 so I stocked  up my supply of cozy socks. Bored yet?
Legacy news--There is a new manager whom I have not met yet. Last week they moved everything into the temporary location. The remodeling of  the old store began on Sunday. Maybe I will like the changes and new people. I hope so. Change is not my forte' And of course Sherry made me feel comfortable and I miss hear dearly.
Enough jibber-jaber from me. You came for the pictures. While going through old books I came across these wonderful illustrations. Perfect for scrap booking frames, labels or as an element in a collage. And to finish the post with a flourish, a nest with a gathering of bird friends. I just knew you would like them.
This first one is my favorite.

Enjoy! Much love to you all, Louise

Lovely old Historic Victorian book linings for scrapbooking and dollhouse wall paper

While going thru old books I found the best inside linings. There are 16 to pick from. Perfect for scrap booking pages, wrapping small gifts, As wall paper for old doll houses. How great is that! It is always hard to find historic old wall paper for refurbishing a doll house. How about a paper quilt  with no sewing. Background for cards and tags. Start cutting and pasting ladies. You have something new to play with!
Right click for a larger image. If I did it right they should end up letter size 81/2 x 11 when you copy and print one.
With some searching I am sure I will find more for you creative ones.
Have fun making something beautiful!
Thank you soooo much for your kind comments.
Love to each and every one of you, Louise.
