Hi everyone! Welcome to all you new visitors as well as my wonderful followers.Some fun period clothing and illustrations. They are great references for 1920-1930 styles and the colors of fabrics. The dollhouse is fun and bright. I would have spent lots of time looking at the picture to see what was in each room.

This is from an old sewing booklet. For some reason my scanner would just not pick up the colors very well.

Janet Laura Scott Illustrations from Good Morning Dear Children

Thought you may like a few more pictures from the children's book "Good Morning Dear Children"To me they are precious. The colors and subjects are irresistible. Children feeding geese, mama kitty cat and her kittens are too cute.

It has rained sooo much this year. The thought of sunshine and playing in the garden is heavenly.

Be sure and record some of your stories so they can be enjoyed for many years to come. I remember being at my grandmothers house, tucked into bed, with my grandmother laying beside me telling the most wonderful and magical stories. She did not read from a book but told them from her memory or imagination. Of course I never feel asleep but it was very special.

As an "old lady with cats" I love kitty pictures.

Hi Everyone! It is cloudy and rainy again after lots of sunshine. Out comes the cups of tea. Thank goodness for a cup of  tea, warms my hands and helps with a sore throat. I have not had to water my plants for so long..

 This little angel catching violet raining from the sky is perfect for February birthdays. Happy birthday to my sister and niece.

More illustrations featuring children.My daffodils and paper whites are blooming. Next year I should add some tulips. My son's grandfather has taken him to air shows since he was a little boy. So I thought this was so dear.

   Hi and welcome to visitors and my followers!
   Today was an actual a craft day for me. I am trying to make a bracelet out of baby shell buttons. Shell buttons that still have their luster are like pearls to me. The itty bitty baby ones are beyond cute. I have tried to polish older ones with baby oil. It works except for really old and scratch ones. In the future I'd like to decorate a purse and a throw pillow. When I visit other blogs it amazes me at how prolific some of you crafty creative ones are!
    Looking into files for something fun to post resulted in this potpourri.

                                             Just had to post this little baby picture. How sweet.

Hi everyone! welcome to all my visitors and followers. Sitting by my living room window, warmed by the sunshine, I began to work on several projects.Finally! One was to take pictures of things to share with you(in my next post). The kitties kept wanting to be in the middle of everything as kitties will do. Their playing and wrestling sent buttons all over! Jazzy ,the Bengal, can be quite wild and Old Thomas will need to be rescued from her attacks. My son is talking about getting a dog/s ... hm will they come to live with me someday too?

Something else about me that I may not have mentioned is  I love politics and world affairs. The big wilileaks affair and Pres. Obama's  negotiations have been interesting  news to say the least!

On to the matters at hand.. More images to use, clip, make artist trading cards,altered art projects,print, glue, glitter, give, sell and as always, free for the taking. Isn't this so fun! Are you making a mess yet? First up is a picture of my grandmother and a friend (friend has the big bow).They will help get us into mischief for the day.

My aunt's 1 st grade class from 1933. They are having a tea party in the little house! My aunt is the little girl looking surprised. The big bows and short dresses are darling. Can you find the two young ladies wearing the same dress?

Lady's with cats are happier and have lower blood pressure.
